A 19-year-old youth, Bhupinder Singh, suffered critical injuries when his right arm was partially severed near the elbow during a sword attack at Highland Park ground in Zirakpur on Saturday. The violence erupted from an old rivalry between two groups. Bhupinder received a call about his brother being assaulted, and upon arriving at the spot, the accused Gurpreet Singh and six-seven associates attacked both brothers with a sword, inflicting multiple grievous injuries before fleeing.
