Six women grassroots environmental activists from Nigeria, South Korea, UK, Papua New Guinea, USA, and Colombia won the 2026 Goldman Environmental Prize for fighting climate change and protecting biodiversity. Each recipient receives $200,000. This marks the first time since 1989 that all prize winners are women, chosen from six global regions.
