
Karnataka police arrested Mallikarjun Harikeri for allegedly murdering his six-year-old son Siddharth by pushing him into Krishna River on March 15 due to paternity suspicions. The boy's mother demanded his return on April 1, prompting a missing person complaint. During interrogation, the accused confessed to taking the child to Karad, Maharashtra, and drowning him. An unidentified boy's body found in the river was identified as Siddharth through photographs. The case was converted to murder.
