What Happened
Jammu and Kashmir government took over management of 58 schools in the valley affiliated with the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami on Saturday. The schools were linked to JeI's Falah-e-Aam Trust. This follows August's takeover of 215 JeI-affiliated schools. District magistrates will constitute fresh managing committees after verification.
