ILS Law College ‘illegal fee collection’: Hundreds of students submit application for refund

What Happened

Hundreds of current and former students at ILS Law College submitted refund applications April 23 after authorities ordered the college to refund Rs 1.04 lakh in illegally collected fees. Based on RTI documents, student Mayur Garud alleged unapproved fee collection. The Bombay High Court directed an inquiry, resulting in the refund order. The inquiry committee recommended similar refunds for all affected students.
