What Happened

Delhi government began drafting a semiconductor policy to establish the capital as a hub for chip design, research, and advanced packaging. The policy focuses on five pillars: design and IP development, research and innovation, manufacturing-enabling activities, talent development, and startup ecosystem strengthening. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated the initiative aims to generate high-quality employment and promote skill development through industry-academia partnerships.
