Mumbai's BMC footpath remodelling initiative targeting 16.5 km across 14 high-traffic locations remains stalled due to missing administrative approvals from the previous commissioner. The Rs 100 crore project, intended to improve pedestrian walkability under the Universal Footpath Policy, now seeks clearance from new BMC chief Ashwini Bhide following her April appointment.
