What Happened
Avatihalli railway station, north of Bengaluru, will house a new silk museum. The heritage station, restored by INTACH in October 2022, falls under South Western Railway zone. Three other heritage stations—Doddajala, Devanahalli, and Nandi—along the KSR Bengaluru-Chikaballapur-Kolar line have also been recently restored by INTACH's Bengaluru chapter.
