What Happened

Cloud hosting platform Vercel confirmed hackers breached its systems and stole customer data through a compromised Context AI application. An employee downloaded the Context AI app, linking it to their Google corporate account, allowing attackers to access unencrypted credentials. Vercel's core projects Next.js and Turbopack remain unaffected. The ShinyHunters group reportedly claims responsibility, selling stolen API keys, source code, and database information online.
