What Happened
An anonymous trader purchased 2.79 billion ASTEROID tokens for $575 on April 17, selling the entire position five days later for 503 ETH worth approximately $1.17 million. ASTEROID, an Ethereum-based memecoin themed after a late teenage cancer patient's Shiba Inu drawing, achieved over 2,000x returns. The design flew on SpaceX's Polaris Dawn mission in September 2024.
