What Happened
An Additional District and Sessions Court in Taliparamba sentenced 10 CPI(M) workers to rigorous imprisonment up to 25 years for a bomb attack on BJP-RSS workers at Thimiri, Kannur district in 2011. The judgment came nearly 15 years after the incident. Each convicted worker, including CPI(M) leader M.K. Pradeep Kumar, also faces a fine of ₹2.6 lakh.
